Founder story
I spent 20 years on the other side of the finance desk.
That's the whole reason ELoanz exists.
I spent over two decades in New Zealand automotive retail - much of it with the Giltrap Group - rebuilding and realigning underperforming dealerships and launching new brands into the country.
My last role there was General Manager for Audi, CUPRA and GMSV. Before that, I led Giltrap Newmarket: five sites, world-leading brands across Nissan, Škoda, CUPRA, GMSV and Polestar, a large used-vehicle operation, and 187 staff. I oversaw major site redevelopments, helped turn around businesses that weren't performing, and I've sat on the other side of the finance desk more times than I can count.
Those years showed me how often the finance conversation starts after the buyer has chosen the car.
A better starting point puts the purchase context and guide repayment in view before the decision becomes urgent.
By that stage, price, deposit, loan term, fees, and ownership costs can all need attention in a short window.
I founded ELoanz to give buyers a place to start with the purchase context and guide repayment before any formal lender step.
What ELoanz Actually Is
ELoanz is a broker, not a lender.
ELoanz starts with your enquiry and purchase context instead of a cold-start finance conversation. Your price, deposit, term, and seller path reach the team before any formal lender step. The team then contacts you about the available next steps.
That is the process I wanted to make available: practical details first, then broker-led follow-up about the possible next steps.
Why Industry Experience Matters
A vehicle finance enquiry involves more than a repayment figure. Purchase price, deposit, loan term, seller type, ownership costs, and your wider circumstances all affect the questions worth asking.
Experience on the dealership floor helps ELoanz understand where finance conversations become rushed and which details to clarify before any formal lender step.
Running five sites and 187 people - and later leading a flagship Audi and CUPRA operation - taught me where the finance conversation goes wrong and why preparation matters.
Because I used to be the one setting the targets that drove it.
Bottom Line
If you're about to buy - dealer stock or private sale, car, bike, boat or jet ski - start planning your finance before you're in that conversation, not during it.
That's the whole reason ELoanz exists.
